Gig Harbor's community radio station

GOODNESS GRACIOUS!  I AM FINALLY EDITING THIS SITE.  It should be known that this site was made in the summer of 2000 and I left the radio station in June of 2001.  It is a silly, silly site and I know that.  I would love it just as much as you would if KGHP made a real site.  As I am no longer with them, or even in the same county, PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME IF YOU ARE A RECORD COMPANY TRYING TO FIND KGHP.  I CAN'T HELP YOU THERE.  And don't yell at me for having a lame site, either.  It's an old old joke.

Welcome to KGHP's latest attempt at a web site. We have others, many others, but updating is for losers. KGHP is not a station for losers. KGHP is a station for winners, a station for cool people, and a station for people too lazy to remove their outdated web pages. Welcome. Enjoy yourself. Don't stay too long; we'll have a new site up soon.

KGHP is a non-commercial (read: we do not broadcast commercials) radio station located on the beautiful campus of Peninsula High School in Purdy, Washington.

KGHP In 1927 did not exist. If it had, this might be its staff.

KGHP began in 1987. Or 1988. Or 1989. The disagreement is irrelevent, though, because I think we all agree that when it began, KGHP was nothing. A few years ago (we cannot agree on this date either) KGHP acquired a third frequency: 104.5 fm. This frequency reaches all the way to TACOMA, the mystical city across that bridge we call Narrow, that bridge that evokes fear and helium feet into its traffic during drive time EVERY SINGLE WEEKDAY. With Tacoma under its spell, KGHP hoped to ameliorate traffic congestion and stuffiness, acting as a cherry-tinged syrum of peace and harmony. Sadly, the station failed. But at least those poor souls can listen to good music (Jade and Emily!) and they spend their evenings parked on that lovely bridge. *Hear the Narrows Bridge Blues by Dick! information is either coming soon to this site or will be featured on another site sometime in the unknown.

This is not Tacoma but you get the idea.

We will have a guestbook soon. Or never. Check back and see.
